Director - Technology

Overview:

The Director – Technology primary responsibility is to provide technology solutions as well as maintain the website in order to service the needs of the membership and the Board. The Director performs these functions through the help of the Technology and Website Committee (TWC) which is organized with committee members who are volunteers. At a minimum, the committee needs to have at least 2 members in order to service the operational and tactical requests.

Detailed Position Activities:

Activities performed each month:

• Service requests from Board members to update pages for: Professional Development, Certification, Programs, Mentoring and Outreach for events that take place every month.
• Update President’s message for every month – obtain this from President of Chapter and post to the website accordingly.
• Create news items as events occur both at Chapter level and at the PMI HQ level for the online news manager. Approval for these news items need to be obtained from VP Communications.
• Create advertisements for approved advertisers or for internal events that needed promotion online
• Create surveys on a monthly basis to solicit feedback from Membership.
• Post jobs and resumes as they are requested.
• Post newsletter and presentation archives as they are produced.
• Create a calendar of events online after obtaining feedback from Board members.

Activities performed periodically:

• Ensure compliance with all software licenses that are acquired.
• Ensure proper archival occurs within the infrastructure
